There is more invested in an LHS adoptable animal than the actual adoption price. These low, reasonable rates help us to adopt every adoptable animal.
Adoption includes:
- Microchip (permanent I.D.)
- Spay/neuter surgery
- First round of vaccinations (including rabies)
- Mild de-worming
- Flea treatment
- Free 30 day pet medical insurance
- Free bag of Science Diet Food (4 lb. or 5 lb.)
- Free office visit
- Free grooming visit
- Heartworm test for dogs
Adoption fee does not include the $8 Fayette County animal license. (Cash, Checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express)
Property Checks
Certain sizes, weights and breeds of animals require more space than others. And, certain animals' temperaments do not blend well with children and/or other pets. Depending on the animal, LHS reserves the right to conduct a property check.
