How to Get Involved at LHS:

While you need to be at least 14 to volunteer at the shelter, there are lots of other ways to help out our critters!

  • Have your parents check out a Doggie Bank to gather money for the shelter from friends and family
  • Set up a lemonade stand in your neighborhood with your friends (make sure to get your parents’ permission)
  • Gather donations from friends and family members
  • Teach your friends and family how to properly take care of a pet
  • Read up on different cat and dog breeds as well as animal related books
  • Attend our summer Critter Camp
  • Help stop animal cruelty by knowing the signs and telling an adult so they can report it
  • Start an animal protection club at your school
  • Have your birthday party at LHS
