Time is a valuable gift to offer LHS and the animals we serve. Volunteers are very important to the Lexington Humane Society! LHS volunteers must be at least 14 years of age, abide by the shelter volunteer policy and attend a volunteer orientation session. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of  four hours a month for at least a six month period.

Regrettably, we are currently unable to accommodate court-ordered, traffic diversion, KTAP or Kentucky Works community service.
