Honor a Friend, Family Member or Pet

With a gift in tribute or celebration.

When you make a gift to celebrate a special person, pet or occasion, you are making a difference for the animals in need at the Lexington Humane Society (LHS). If you share contact information, a friend, loved one or family member will receive a tribute card acknowledging your gift. Please allow up to one week for cards to be mailed from LHS through the U.S. Postal Service.

Gifts in Tribute

A memorial tribute gift is a unique way to express your sympathy to the family of someone who has passed, or to someone who recently lost a beloved pet. When your memorial gift is received, along with the appropriate contact information, the Lexington Humane Society will mail a card to the family acknowledging your gift.

The Lexington Humane Society expresses our sincere condolences to the families, friends and loved ones of those who have recently passed and asked that donations be made to LHS in lieu of flowers.

Gifts in Celebration

A donation to the Lexington Humane Society is a thoughtful way to honor someone who cares about animal welfare. What a great way to celebrate a milestone or a special occasion of a loved one or pet, while saving and improving lives of animals. When your gift is received, along with the appropriate contact information, LHS will send a card to the honoree or pet owner acknowledging your gift.

Prominently displayed in the Main Adoption Center, the LHS Tribute Tree is a meaningful way to honor your family, a company, a cherished pet, or a beloved friend, while also supporting the animals. All tribute gifts of $1,000 or greater will be recognized with an engraved leaf, displayed for at least a 12-months to be seen by thousands of LHS visitors. As leaves are dismantled, they can be given to the donor, a family member, the company, or loved one being honored.

For more information about honoring a friend, family member or pet, please call 859-233-0044 x 249 or email our volunteer LHS Memorial Chair Diana Norwood at
