Lexington Humane Society Hosts Annual Mutt Strut Fundraiser
5k and Dog Walk To Benefit the Animals Held at New Venue June 14, 2025

Lexington, KY – April 18, 2025 – Two Lexington favorites are teaming up for a cause close to the community’s heart. The Lexington Humane Society (LHS) is proud to host the 2025 Mutt Strut, presented by Hunter Faulconer, at Legends Field for the first time. This beloved dog-friendly 5K and walk will take place on Saturday, June 14th, from 9 am – 12 pm, with all proceeds supporting animals in need.
This family-friendly event invites community members to participate in a timed 5K or enjoy a casual stroll, all while supporting the mission of LHS. In addition to the walk and run, attendees can look forward to food and drinks, music, pet games, kid-friendly activities, and local vendors.
“We’re excited to take Mutt Strut to Legends Field. LHS and the Lexington Legends are both long-standing staples in our community, so bringing an iconic event to an iconic venue just feels right,” said Meghan Hawkins, Director of Development for LHS. “It’s a classic Lexington pairing – families, pets, and summer fun, all for a great cause.”
