Parvo is tough… but so are these puppies.
Over the past few weeks at LHS, we’ve seen an increase in puppies coming to us with parvovirus. It’s a serious illness, and treatment isn’t easy – but the good news is this: with early intervention, experienced care, and round-the-clock monitoring, parvo is survivable.
Thanks to our dedicated medical team and proven treatment protocols, we have a very high success rate, and every puppy receives intensive care, isolation, medication, and constant monitoring until they are fully healthy.
That level of care takes time, resources, and a lot of heart. Treating just one puppy with parvo can cost hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars and requires days (or weeks) of hands-on care.
We want to be clear and transparent: no puppy is ever adopted out until they are healthy, cleared by our medical team, and ready to thrive in a home. Their safety – and your trust – matters to us.
If you’re able to help, your donation directly supports lifesaving medical care for puppies who need us most. You’re not just giving dollars – you’re giving second chances, clean bills of health, and happy futures.
Please donate today to help us keep saying “yes” to the next puppy who needs our help.
