[Lexington, KY] – [August 25, 2026]  Lexington Humane Society (LHS) is excited to be hosting its annual Doggie Paddle fundraising event, taking place on Saturday, September 12, at Southland Aquatic Center. Doggie Paddle is Lexington’s largest pool party just for dogs, and each ticket sold supports LHS’s lifesaving work. The event will take place rain or shine, with standard “pool rules” in place during lightning or thunderstorms.

Since 2014, Doggie Paddle has grown into a beloved community tradition, drawing nearly 700 dogs in 2025. This year, LHS expects even more attendees. “Whether your pup is a seasoned swimmer or prefers to keep their paws on dry land, there’s something for everyone,” says Meghan Hawkins, Director of Development for LHS. “We hope the community will come out, join us, and make this year’s Doggie Paddle our best one yet.”

This year’s Doggie Paddle is made possible by the support of its generous sponsors: MetLife Pet Insurance, PetSuites, Bluegrass Sotheby’s International Realty, Bone Dry Roofing, Bricks & Minifigs, Clothes Mentor, The Dog Stop, Forcht Bank, Houchens Insurance Group, Live Green Lexington, and Member’s Heritage Credit Union.
