Lexington, KY – [October 8, 2026] Lexington Humane Society (LHS) is excited to be hosting its annual Bark Bash fundraising event. Taking place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 1pm-5pm at Gatton Park in downtown Lexington, Bark Bash is a family-friendly Fall Festival and Critter Costume Contest.
The winners of this year’s Critter Costume Contest will take home hundreds of dollars in cash prizes across three categories: Most Creative Costume, Spookiest Halloween Costume, and Best Duo/Group Costume. The event is free to attend, with donation-based activities and a $15 contest entry fee, all of which help provide care and support for animals in need at LHS. In addition to the contest and activities, the event will also feature food and beverages, adoptable animals, and local vendors.
This event is made possible by the support of its generous sponsors: Ball Homes, Bluegrass Animal Products, Kinetic, Republic Bank, Komatsu, Central Bank, Live Green Lexington, Traditional Bank, PetSuites, Express Employment Pros, and Denham Property & Injury Law Firm.
