Our annual Mutt Strut, co-sponsored by Feeders Supply, will be held on Saturday, June 8th from 8am to 12pm at Keeneland. This is one of our largest fundraising events and brings in much-needed funds for the animals. Over 700 attendees and their dogs participate each year to help support the homeless animals in our community!
There are three different registration types for the event; so whether you would prefer to walk, run or even stay at home, you can still support the LHS animals!
- Fun Walk – The 1-mile Fun Walk is a great opportunity to enjoy the Keeneland scenery with your 4-legged pal.
- 5K Race– The 5K is a chip-timed, competitive race with top overall awards. If your pup is accustomed to running this distance, feel free to bring them along!
- Lazy Mutt – If you are unable to attend the event, or just don’t want to get out of bed quite so early, you can still sign up as a Lazy Mutt!
One goal of the event is to encourage peer-to-peer fundraising by asking attendees to start a personal or team fundraising page. Added bonus? You win prizes for raising money! Fundraising is a simple, fun and easy way to support the Lexington Humane Society animals. The 2019 fundraising prize deadline is May 23rd at 5pm.
Along with registering for the event, there are several different ways you and your company can be involved, and support the over 5,000 animals LHS cares for each year.
- Create a team – grab your tennis shoes, your 4-legged friend and all your co-workers, and form a team to participate in the 1-mile Fun Walk or 5K race.
- Be a vendor – Mutt Strut is a great place to connect with animal lovers and promote your brand with more than 700 attendees gathering in Vendor Village before and after the race.
- Become a sponsor – support the LHS animals and promote your brand to the Lexington community.
