Tails & Ales

Our annual tasting event to benefit the animals. Attendees sample beer, wine, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, and tasty small bites while playing games and hanging out with adoptable animals.

Mutt Strut

A 1.5-mile dog walk held every spring. The funds from Mutt Strut come at a critical time of year when the number of animals in need is at its highest, and donations are hard to come by.
This year's Mutt Strut is Monday, May 25 at Coldstream Park - get your tickets now!

Doggie Paddle

Lexington's largest pool party just for dogs! While you visit with local vendors and shop exclusive LHS merchandise, your pup(s) can splash around.
This year's Doggie Paddle is Saturday, September 12 at Southland Aquatic Center!

Bark Bash

Bark Bash is a family-friendly fall festival featuring a pet costume contest, dozens of vendors, food trucks, good tunes, and so much more.
This year's Bark Bash is Sunday, October 18 at Gatton Park!

Get Involved

We refer to events hosted by members of the public to benefit LHS as Community Events. The LHS Development team will work with you and support your event as we can, but you are in control of running the show!

You can show off your goods and do some good when you become an event vendor with Lexington Humane Society. You’ll connect with a compassionate crowd while supporting animals in need. It’s a win-win!

We’re now taking vendor registrations for:
  • Doggie Paddle – September 12 at Southland Aquatic Center –  $150 vendor fee (exterior booth) / $250 vendor fee (interior/pool deck booth)
  • Bark Bash – October 18 at Gatton Park – $150 vendor fee
