Project Purrfect

In a perfect world, every cat would have a loving forever home. However for a lot of our feline friends, this is not always the case. Nationally, millions of cats and kittens enter into shelters each year. Many are strays found alone on the streets; many were once members of a family until they were relinquished by their owners. All have the challenge of adjusting to a shelter environment while they await their forever home. But until there is a perfect world, there is the Lexington Humane Society's Project Purrfect.

Project Purrfect, sponsored by Nancy T. Barron II, is a program committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for cats in our facility, increasing awareness in the community relating to cat care and treatment, spay/neuter, and adoption.

Your support could make a difference! You can help in a variety of ways:

  • Make an online donation to Project Purrfect below!
  • Donate cat-specific items from our wish list or call 233-0044 x 238 for other items we may need!
  • Hold a Project Purrfect donation drive at your work place or in your neighborhood and get your community involved in this life-saving program!

You play a vital role in the success of this program and we couldn't do it without you! Your contribution allows us to provide a safe, engaging, and healthy environment for cats in our facility, increase awareness in the community relating to cat care and treatment, spay/neuter, and adoption. We thank you for your support - we thank you and our cats and kittens thank you!
