Our annual Doggie Paddle was a splashing success! This event was co-sponsored by Feeders Supply and was held at Woodland Park Aquatic Center on Saturday, September 7th. The event raised much-needed funds for the Lexington Humane Society to help the animals that are in our care. Hundreds of dogs attended the event and had a blast swimming and making new doggie friends! Doggie Paddle was made possible by over 70 generous volunteers and LHS staff. There were over 600 attendees, including doggie owners, friends’ owners, and people who just wanted to watch and enjoy the dogs having fun in the pool.

“It’s so nice to see so many people who love their animals,” said Susan Malcomb, President of LHS. “Everyone had a blast, and this event makes it possible for us to give the animals in our care everything they need while they’re with us.”

The event had many great vendors who sold some of their products and handed out goodies. At the end of Doggie Paddle, dog owners thanked us for putting on this annual event – noting that their furry friend looks forward to it each year! Some dog owners said that they always count down to Doggie Paddle because it is one of the best days of the year. We can’t wait to see you next year! Click here to see photos from this year’s event.
