Foster-To-Adopt

For You. For Them. For Good.

Adoption is a lifelong commitment. Foster-To-Adopt is designed to ensure the right pet ends up with the right person.

How it works

1

Pick your pet

Choose an animal eligible for Foster-To-Adopt.

2

Take them home

Foster for two weeks. We’ll provide basic supplies, and support to set you up for success.

3

make it official (or not)

If it’s the perfect match, finalize the adoption! If not, simply return your foster pet knowing you gave them love, comfort, and a well-earned break from the shelter.

More than a trial run

Why Foster-To-Adopt?

Bringing a pet into your life is a huge commitment – but it doesn’t have to be a leap of faith. Foster-To-Adopt gives you the chance to try out pet ownership before you make it official; it’s the perfect bridge between shelter life and home.

It’s good for you.
  • Two weeks gives you time to see how a particular pet fits into your home, schedule, and lifestyle without the pressure of a same-day decision.
It’s good for them.
  • Even if you don’t adopt, a short break from the shelter reduces stress, builds confidence, and helps pets show their true personality.
It’s a win no matter what.
  • If you adopt, you’ve found your new best friend. If you don’t, you’ve given an animal some much-needed TLC.
