“Armando is truly a good boy! If you’re looking for a dog who knows how to relax he would be a great fit. And don’t be intimidated by his breed, while he’s a Great Dane Mix and has that signature gentleness, he’s closer to the size of a lab.

Armando’s bed is his absolute favorite place, day and night. He doesn’t beg to get on the couch or your bed but will happily cuddle if invited! He does really well in a crate, although I’m not sure he truly needs one. At times he seems to prefers it as a safe space when he feels a little unsure.

Armando is a fast leaner, especially for an older dog. We’ve mastered “sit” and “lay down,” and he’s continuing to improve with things like responding to his name and leash manners. He loves going on walks and definitely keeps an eye out for squirrels! For bathroom breaks, he does best in a familiar spot with minimal distractions so he can stay focused and avoid accidents indoors.

Armando is not a fan of thunderstorms or sudden loud noises, but with some white noise and the comfort of his crate, he handles them well. He is intimidated by men, especially when they enter his home he gets territorial, so needs to be approached by them slowly

With a patient and loving owner, I truly believe Armando will thrive in a forever home.”
