Barn Cats

This adventurous cat is made for outdoor life, where she can roam, explore, and embrace her natural instincts. While she’s not the cuddly lap cat you might be used to, she will thrive in peaceful, low-stress environment like barns or farms, where she can help with pest control and enjoy the freedom she deserves. She needs a home where she will receive food, water, and shelter. A 2-4 week confined acclimation period is also required.

Unlike traditional pets, barn cats like her prefer to keep their distance from constant human interaction, but they’ll flourish in a setting that lets them do what they do best – hunt and explore! They feel stressed in a shelter but will shine in an outdoor home. If you’re ready to give her the life she craves, contact the Community Cat Program at (859) 233-0044 x 261 or [email protected]. An appointment is required to meet her as she is in a much quieter and less stressful area of the adoption center that is not open to the public.
